The Houston Texans have released QB Brian Hoyer.
Shortly after the Texans picked up QB Brock Osweiler, they turned around and let Hoyer go. Hoyer never stood a chance of maintaining a job with the Texans after his performance in the Wild Card game vs the Chiefs.
Hoyer could find himself on another team fairly soon, as the Broncos are rumored to be interested in him, but there will be some competition by the Jets if Fitzpatrick cannot agree to terms.
