The Denver Broncos were in the hunt for a starting quarterback. They looked high and they looked low, and eventually picked up Mark Sanchez. but were they truly ready to put all their eggs into Sanchez’s basket? Not necessarily, as they drafted Paxton Lynch. Now that Kaepernick is completely off the Broncos radar, and Trevor Siemian the third quarterback, there will be some intense competition between the three QBs for that starting role.
Sanchez feels confident that he will win the starting role and takes the fact that the Broncos had not opted to sign another veteran, as a vote of confidence in his ability to lead this team.
However, Sanchez’s performance, in 2015 and prior, shows that regardless of who starts, Paxton Lynch will get his shot in 2016. But, Sanchez remains confident in his ability and states that regardless of who is there competing for the starting job, his focus will remain the same.
