UAB running back found shot in South Florida

Running back Gregory Bryant, from the University of Alabama, was found shot in a vehicle on I-95 in south Florida. A West Palm Beach police spokesperson, Lori Colombino said the young man was declared brain dead at 1 p.m, on Sunday. She also stated that the incident is now being classified as a homicide.

Florida detectives are searching for witnesses to the shooting. The passenger involved in the shooting was hospitalized with minor injuries.

Bryant started his career at Notre Dame but spent last season at ASA college where he played in only one game. He was the biggest name in UAB’s top recruiting class since the conception of their program. He spent all of the last season living in a Miami hotel room with friends while he attended classes.
