The Jacksonville Jaguars have virtually stayed out of the news since Jalen Ramsey’s injury had occurred. However, they make a return to the news this week, as running back Denard Robinson graces the headlines.
According to the Jaguars and Denard Robinson, he and a female passenger were involved in a single-car accident this weekend but was neither were injured.
Apparently, Robinson and the female passenger both fell asleep while Denard was driving, resulting in the car crashing into a pond and submerging the driver’s side of the vehicle.
According to the Florida Times-Union, a newspaper out of Jacksonville, the police had to wake and help the female passenger from the vehicle before awakening Denard Robinson, so he too could exit the vehicle. They also noted that neither Robinson nor his passenger was impaired so he should not have to face any DUI charges.
The Jaguars released a statement Tuesday saying they are aware of the incident and are thankful that nobody was injured.
