NFL places Tampa’s secondary in the top 5 most improved.

Mostly that could be blamed on the outdated version of Lovie Smith’s Tampa 2. The Buccaneers made some big changes this offseason. The additions of Vernon Hargreaves and Brent Grimes instantly add speed and skill to the Buccaneers secondary, and with the added skill players to D-line, Ayers, and N.Spence, the pass rush should bring the pressure it lacked last season, allowing the secondary to stifle the opposing passing game through the season. This was evident in last week’s preseason loss to the Eagles.
