According to the Tampa Bay Times, the Bucs will waive WR/KR Donteea Dye today.
Dye, who was set to make the 53 man roster, injured a hamstring during Friday night’s game against Cleveland, will be placed on the waived-injured list.
If he passes waivers, he will be placed on the I/R list, and likely be released after an injury settlement.
This will leave five players fighting for two jobs: Russell Shepard, Jonathan Krause, Kenny Bell, Freddie Martino, and Evan Spencer.
Shepard will most likely win one of the spots, while Martino and Bell are probably on the outside, looking in.
With the Bucs last preseason game against Washington being moved up to Wednesday due to the tropical storm, several players will be scrambling for the final spot.
