Austin Seferian-Jenkins on the bubble?

usa-today-9509705.0Austin Seferian-Jenkins has not been living up to all the hype. Dirk Koetter likes ASJ, has faith in him, but no one else is seeing what Koetter is seeing. Not anymore.

From being injured the majority of his stint in Tampa, to being thrown out of practice for not knowing what he is doing and Twitter ranting to yelling at his head coach in the last preseason game, it seems ASJ has been more apologetic than he has been productive. The talent is obviously there, but does it only come in occasional flashes? So far that is seeming to be the case.

His recent sideline rant is said to have left Koetter and himself with no hard feelings toward each other, but one has to wonder if that may have been the straw that broke the camel’s back.

ASJ can be a lethal weapon, in that I have no doubt, but production has been here and there, for the most part, and that is something that cannot be overlooked.

I hope ASJ can quickly turn it around and isn’t traded, or even worse cut, but I also can’t see the continual dumping of time, money and effort in what is turning out to be something of a money pit.
