Recently promoted Donteea Dye will not be ready to play

According to Roy Cummings and Greg Auman of the Tampa Bay Times, Dirk Koetter has announced that Donteea Dye is not in NFL condition and will be inactive for Sunday’s game. The news comes as a blow to the Bucs fans who were looking forward to seeing Dye play again. Although this places a question mark in the mind of many fans, as to whom will be active in the place of the injured Vincent Jackson, it’s that Cecil Shorts III has been fully participating in practice and is likely to be a go for Sunday. Of course with Jackson’s injury removing him from the depth chart, that now has Adam Humphries promoted to the number two spot, Russell Shepard at number three and Cecil Shorts III likely to be the fourth spot. However, if Louis Murphy is activated, those positions on the depth chart could rotate, again.
