Banks having only played in four games this year was released to make room on the roster for running back Mike James. Banks had told social media about his leaving earlier today. The fact that Banks has not lived up to the potential he once had, is likely the reason he was chosen to vacate the needed roster spot. Banks is a solid corner and if is not picked back up and placed on Tampa’s roster, he will surely find a home very quickly. There are plenty of teams in the NFL that are in need of a healthy cornerback.
