Nope, this is not a joke. The surprise announcement was made on Tuesday, as Harvin’s agent let the information loose on social media. Harvin announced his retirement in early April of this year, citing hip and knee injuries as the main reasons for his decision. Harvin was drafted in the first round by the Minnesota Vikings back in 2009. He was traded to the Seahawks in 2013, and after that season was again traded. Harvin signed on with the Bills for a $6 million one-year contract before retiring.
