The word on the street is that running back Doug Martin will not be active for Sunday’s gave against the Carolina Panters. Jacquizz Rodgers will likely again get the lead back role as Charles Sims continues to play his role as running back on passing downs.
Martin being benched for the second game in a row further fuels the questions surrounding Martin’s future in Tampa. The Buccaneers have also re-signed running back Russell Hansbrough, who was recently on the Giants’ practice squad. Whether or not Hansbrough will play Sunday is still up in the air.
