Jay Glazer of Fox Sports recently stated that the Indianapolis Colts are actively pursuing, former NFL QB, Peyton Manning, to play the role of team Executive. If Manning were to accept the job he would be taking the reigns from Ryan Grigson who is current Colts GM.
However, over this past weekend, Colts report Bob Kravitz reported that sources close to Manning say that he is unlikely to take the position. No exact reason is given for Mannings supposed declination other than a speculation that timing and ownership sharing may be holding up the deal.
Manning retired in 2016 and has been offered coaching positions, broadcasting spots as well as acting gigs, and front office jobs. We will have to wait and see if Manning chooses to take the job with the Colts and leave behind all the other opportunities offered him. Something I know Colts fans will keep a close eye on.
