It is official the Oakland Raiders have filed the paperwork to move the team to Las Vegas Nevada and they hope to build a $1.9 billion stadium there. The move must be approved by at least 24 of the 32 NFL team owners, and they will vote on it in late March. If the move is approved then the Raiders will become the third team to announce their relocation in the past year.

Their new stadium would be domed and built on the Las Vega Strip and would become the most expensive stadium built in NFL history. The new Stadium wouldn’t likely be completed until around 2020, so the Raiders would continue playing in Oakland until it is completed.

filing to relocate to Las Vegas has the Oakland Raiders denying the offer of local investment groups to build a new $1.5 billion 55,000 seat Stadium in Oakland. The new proposed stadium in Las Vegas would house 65,000 seats.
