Cruz missile heading to Carolina?

The Carolina Panthers have brought in veteran wide receiver Victor Cruz for a visit. After ending last season with 39 catches for 586 yards and one touchdown, the Giants felt it was time to part ways with their veteran pair of hands.

Cruz tore his patellar tendon in 2014 resulting in him missing 10 games that season and all of 2015, his return in 2016 showed promise; however, his performance was not good enough for the Giants to keep him on another year.

Cruz visited with the Panthers but ultimately left without a contract as he is going to visit with other teams, before making a decision. The Panthers could use some help at the receiver position, but as to whether or not Cruz has anything left to offer is still up for debate.

Another team to have been thrown around as another possible landing spot for Cruz is the Denver Broncos. No word as to whether the Broncos have contacted him or not.

Obviously, we as Bucs fans, do not want to see the Panthers getting any help at wide receiver, especially if Cruz returns to his former glory.

Victor Cruz originally signed with the Giants as undrafted free agent in 2010 and was set to make a base salary of $7.4 million in 2017 before being released.
