Rumor has it that the Tampa BayBuccaneers are interested in signing Cowboys free agent safety J.J. Wilcox.

Wilcox has just wrapped up his four-year $2.8 million contract and is set to become a free agent on Thursday.

With Keith Tandy, the only starting safety on the roster, and Chris Conte and Bradley McDouglad are about to hit the FA, the Buccaneers will be looking to add more Safeties to the team. Those safeties will most likely come from the FA and the draft this year.

In four season with the Cowboys, Wilcox has recorded 214 tackles, 15 passes defended, five interceptions, two forced fumbles, and a safety.

The word on the street is that the Buccaneers and Wilcox have mutual interest and possibly have a deal ready to sign by this Thursday.
