Potential depth signing?

Most Bucs fans know the team needs help at the safety position. A solid player who could come in as depth. One of the players to watch for is Aaron Williams now formally of the Buffalo Bills. He is a decent safety but has dealt with neck and head injuries. Lately, he’s only played 10 games in 2 seasons.

Last season, Williams made a solid 20 total tackles, but no interceptions. Williams’ acquisition would be a low risk, but potentially a high reward. As one of the biggest needs on the defensive side, we have to ask how Jason Licht will address the need at safety.

Bradley McDougald is gone and Keith Tandy and Conte are still Bucs, but we need a little more depth at the position. With the possibility of them leaving, Licht will need to pick up at least one safety in free agency, and another in the draft. J.J. Wilcox is set to visit the Buccaneers, and if Tampa signs him, Williams still could be solid depth. Just something to think about. Go get’em, Jason, In Licht we trust.
