Tampa Bay has never had an indoor facility. They deal with the extreme temperatures of Tampa Bay every year. Tampa Bay weather can have extreme heat or terrible rain storms on any given day. A new practice facility is exactly what is needed for the players and coaches. This new facility may help attract free agents and more fans. When the completion of the indoor facility is done, Tampa Bay ownership is hoping that it will translate to more wins on the field. Players will hopefully be able to stay fresh and not become so mentally/physically fatigued due to the Tampa Bay weather.
The new facility should be completed in about 12-18 months but there are talks that it could be ready to go sometime later this year. The only indoor facilities that Tampa Bay has been able to use is the indoor bubble at Disney’s Wide World of Sports and Tropicana Field, the home of the Tampa Bay Rays. The new indoor facility will be a continuation of renovations that the Glazer family already has in place. The Buccaneers are in the midst of plenty, of changes with the addition of several new coaches, players, and Raymond James Stadium upgrades. This will make it a great experience for all fans in attendance.
