Last year the Buccaneers had a sub-par year from the offensive line. The Buccaneers are starting to mix it up a little and have Ali Marpet playing at center. Marpet started all 16 games last year at right guard.
The Buccaneers also was given some good news that there big signing for the offensive line last year in JR Sweezy was cleared to practice after he missed all of 2016 with a back injury. Jr started 15 games in 2015 with Seattle Seahawks.
Our offensive line projection for 2017 is Left tackle Donovan smith (started 16 games last year), Left Guard Kevin Pamphile (started 14 missed 2 games for concussion), Center Ali Marpet (Started 16 games at RG), Right guard JR Sweezy (missed 2016), and right tackle e Demar Dotson (Started 13 games missed 3 games for concussion).
We still have Joe Hawley who started at center last year for us and back up center Ben Gottschalk. The Buccaneers look to have some depth this year on the line. We just need good consistent play to help Jameis in his development.
