Word on the street is that the Saints are narrowing in on a short-term deal with running back Adrian Peterson. The deal would be in the ballpark of $3 million dollars for the 2017 season. Peterson was originally believed to be tied with the Buccaneers earlier this offseason but recent visits to the Saints have proven that to be nothing but rumor as it now seems that the Saints’ are closing in on the veteran running back.
There was a large assumption that Peterson would have to wait until after the draft in order to be signed to a team, yet that does not seem to be the case at all. According to the word on the street, Adrian Peterson could be a Saint by the end of this week.
