Well, it’s official, BEAST MODE IS BACK! Marshawn Lynch has signed with his hometown team the Oakland Raiders on a two-year deal. According to NFL.com, Lynch’s base salary is $3 million but also has an incentive of $2 million if he reaches 1,000 yards. The max of his two-year deal is $8.5 million. Seattle sent Lynch and their 2018 6th-round pick to Oakland for their 2018 5th-round pick.
Lynch last played in 2015, but only played 7 games for Seattle due to a hernia problem. He rushed for 417 yards on 111 attempts and rushed for career low 3 touchdowns. Soon after that season, he decided to hang his cleats up and retire.
If Lynch can get back to his BEAST MODE form, the Raiders can have more consistency at the RB position. They lost Latavius Murray to Minnesota. Can Lynch put them over the edge and possibly beat New England?
