Will Mike Evans and D-JAX be the best BUCS WR DUO ever?

Any die-hard Buccaneers fan will tell you last year we didn’t have any stability at the wide receiver position other than Mike Evans. Vincent Jackson, Russel Sheppard, Cecil Shorts, and Adam Humphries all missed a couple of games. We all know Evans received a lot of double teams last year, but they will not be able to do that this year without paying a price.

With the addition of Desean Jackson, Mike Evans is going to have a MONSTER season. Teams will not be able to double Evans and leave Jackson one on one without getting burnt. Teams might even try to double Jackson so they don’t get burnt so bad, but by doing that you leave Evans one on one, which we all know that Evans loves one on one! Jackson being 30 years old is still one of the TOP fastest players in the NFL today. In the second day of OTAs, D-JAX flat-out BURNT second-year man Vernon Hargreaves on a go route for a touchdown.

In 2016 season D-JAX was targeted 100 times and caught 56 of them passes for 1,002 yards and scored 4 times. Evans was targeted 173 times and caught 96 of them passes for 1,321 yards and scored 12 times. The Buccaneers haven’t had two wide receivers over 1,000 yards in one season since 2014 with Vincent Jackson and Mike Williams both going over 1,000 yards for the season.

Not only will these guys help each other, but this will help Winston. Winston needs some stability at the WR position so he can play better. He needs to be able to have that connection with the wide receivers and Winston can’t be consistent if he doesn’t have a connection. We all know Winston has a tendency of overthrowing on the deep ball but is it even possible to overthrow D-JAX? We will see in week one when the Buccaneers take on the Miami Dolphins.

ALL I CAN SAY IS THIS YEAR IS GOING TO BE A GREAT YEAR FOR THE TAMPA BAY BUCCANEERS!
