The Kansas City Chiefs made the announcement Friday that they have released veteran WR Jeremy Maclin. Maclin, who is a seven-year vet, spent five seasons with the Philadelphia Eagles, in which he caught 343 passes for 4,771 yards and 36 touchdowns.

In the last two season he spent in Kansas City, he caught 200 passes for 1,624 yards and ten touchdowns. The Chiefs likely let him go due to injury problems, which have slowed him considerably.

Maclin has admitted that his 2016 season wasn’t up to his own standards, let alone those of his team. However, the fact that he is under 30, he should be able to bounce back with another team.
