Battles to look for in Training Camp

0

MiniCamp has ended and now the players get a break from the true grind of the season. There are many battles and different positions that are being looked at by all eyes on this team. Here are a few that Buccaneer fans should look forward too.

.
1. Aguayo vs Folk- Last season was a forgettable for rookie Roberto Aguayo. He kicked 71% which was last in the NFL. Nick Folk who is the all-time scoring leader for the New York Jets. His percentage was 87.1%. In Mini-Camp the battle started from day one. With mini-camp ending Aguayo started to kick more consistently and ended camp more accurately than Folk. Should be fun to watch this competition play out into the start of the season .

.
2. McCoy vs McCoy- At the end of the season Gerald McCoy had been told by his peers that he isn’t mean enough. McCoy has been one of the defensive tackles for the last five years. The stigma on him is that he hasn’t eclipsed 10 sacks in a season and him helping the opposing team up from the ground. Will we see a different animal this season?

.
3. Godwin vs Humphries- Adam Humphries was Mr. Reliable last season and became an intricate part of the Tampa Bay Offense. But it has been Chris Godwin that has been getting the bulk of the press clippings dating all the way back to rookie camp. It will be interesting to see what Koetter does with these two and how the battle continues into training camp.
