There is no question that Vernon Hargreaves will be the starter again this year and he is showing signs that he is progressing towards becoming a lockdown corner.
He has shined all preseason and last Saturday, against the Browns, he had recorded his second interception of the preseason.
Although it is just practice, so to speak, the obvious signs of his maturity are irrefutable.
Despite Hargreaves coming out of the game with a back injury, he did find himself returning to the game and played like he was a veteran.
Fans were not all in agreement when we drafted Hargreaves last year, citing a belief that he was too small to play his position, and however ludicrous those accusations were, he is now proving that he is a solid asset to this football team’s secondary.
I expect big things from Hargreaves, this year, and if he continues to progress at such a rapid pace, opposing QBs will be left with minimal targets when both he and Grimes are on the field. Especially as he continues to mature into greatness.
