Kwon Alexander Out For Week 3 Ahead Of 2 Games In 11 Day Stretch.

Despite Kwon Alexander displaying optimism about playing week 3 on social media, he is in fact out for the game. The reasoning for him being held out is likely not due Alexander at all, as I’m sure he wants to play despite his injury, but more likely due to the coaches wanting him to rest up for the 2 games in 11 days coming up in weeks 4 and 5.

If facing the Vikings defense wasn’t a tough enough task to overcome, we face a hit or miss Giants offense in week 4 and the New England Patriots in week 5. We will need everyone of our positions guys, especially Kwon Alexander, for those two contests.

Kwon will have just one more week to heal in order to be ready for the Giants, but facing the Patriots 4 days later, will his hamstring issue return? Hopefully not, but this is going to be a tough test for the third-year man out of Louisiana.

Former LSU teammate Kendell Beckwith is filling in for him this weekend against the Vikings and has already showed signs of being a capable fill in for Alexander, but Alexander’s presence, or lack of, on the field is highly noticeable.

Considering the fact that the Buccaneers have not beaten a Tom Brady led Patriots in the history of their contests, we are going to need every bit of what our star linebacker has to offer.
