Dust Off And Move On.

Is it just me or does it seem like every year, the Buccaneers have at least one game like they had this past Sunday against the Minnesota Vikings? Last year, if you’ll recall, it was the Arizona Cardinals.

It doesn’t help that the Bucs were struck with the injury bug early this season, and that fate carried over into the game with 4 additional players added to the injury report.

As hard as it may be, we cannot dwell injuries. They are a part of the game, and the old adage, ‘Next man up’ certainly applies. The silver lining, if there is one, seems to be that only one players injury could be long term, unlucky for us, that player is the great Lavonte David. Although losing David for any game is a big loss, this could have been much worse for the defense as a whole. As of now we expect to have the majority of our defense back for sunday’s game. Will any of them be 100%? Your guess is as good as mine.

If we don’t buckle down, this season could quickly get away from us. The players need to get their heads back in the game, have a great week of practice and then go out and execute and dominant the Giants on Sunday.

Remember, we have the misfortune of playing 16 straight games, and injuries are a necessary evil of the game, so no more pouting or being down on our luck. We are 2 games down, sitting at 1-1, this Sunday, I have confidence we will right the ship and destroy the New York football Giants. I’m stoked, are you?
