Who Will Be The Bucs Starting QB On Sunday?

Jameis Winston was limited in practice on Wednesday, but is expected to make some throws today.

Winston suffered an AC sprain during last week’s loss to the Cardinals and so far in practice, he has not thrown any passes.

Fitzpatrick took the starting reps yesterday, while Jameis took the mental reps, but OC Todd Monken believes that Jameis is feeling better and could begin taking on some of his regular reps today.

Monken also made a note that Jameis is still day to day and knowing whether or not he starts on Sunday could take up until the day of the game. Maybe even moments before kickoff.

Jameis stated in today’s press conference that he is ready. Whenever they decide to let him go, (play in the game or practice), he is ready. As competitive as he is, he is always ready, but that doesn’t mean he is capable of going out there and take hits without sustaining further injury to his shoulder. The doctors have cleared him and stated that there is a very low chance that he can further injure his throwing arm, but at this point in his long season, one must begin thinking precautionary.

The outcome of today’s practice will likely be the determiner of whether Jameis plays or not Sunday, but there is a possibility that Fitzpatrick will get the start and considering that Griffin is ineligible to play, Jameis would be backing up Fitzpatrick.
