OJ Howard has been nominated for Peps Rookie of The Week for his performance last week, in which he caught four passes for 98 yards and two TD’s. He is one of five rookies nominated for the award.

According to Greg Auman, of the Tampa Bay Times,  the NFL has not had a rookie TE catch two TD passes in a game and total more than 75 yards receiving, since Owen Daniels did it  for the Houston Texans.

No Buccaneers rookie has been nominated for the award this season, and the last to win it was Noah Spence late last season.
