Is Dirk Koetter on the Hot Seat in Tampa?

The Bucs are off to a disappointing 2-5 start this season after a woeful performance by the offense Sunday. And according to former Browns GM and Patriots front office member Mike Lombardi, 2nd year Head Coach Dirk Koetter is “officially on the hot seat.“

Today, on his podcast GM Street, Lombardi said “A lot of people in the NFL are telling me that they’re hearing Gruden (is going) back to the Bucs. He’s made up with the Glazers, and they could bring him back.”
Gruden Coached the Bucs from 2002 – 2008, leading the franchise to their only Super Bowl victory in 2002.

Lombardi went on to say, “nobody outside the NFL is talking about it, but everybody I talk to inside the NFL thinks it’s over with for Dirk Koetter if he doesn’t get this thing turned around fairly quickly.”

There’s no question that the Bucs have underperformed under Koetter – the offense, in particular. There is no excuse for an offense with this much talent on it
