On the sidelines of Sundays Bucs/Jets game, there seemed to be a brief incident between Kwon Alexander and Robert Ayers Jr. in which the CBS camera caught a glimpse of Alexander removing his helmet and yelling at Ayers, the yelling back and forth went on until Gerold McCoy and DeSean Jackson stepped in between the two to seemingly diffuse the situation. Everyone was left wondering what happened. Was there a scuffle between the two players, or was it just a misunderstanding?
According to Ayers’ Twitter feed, it was just a misunderstanding. Once word got around that the two were fighting on the sidelines, Ayers tweeted,
“It’s hilarious to me how far off people are about this “fight” on the sideline.. People really have no idea..” he then followed that tweet up with, “Since everybody wants to know.. heres what’s happen.. I wanted red Gatorade and @cbakerswaggy drunk the last of it, then @kwon drunk the blue, and all i had was warm water.”
Sounds like it was made out to be more than it was.
The Bucs took the win 15-10 against the Jets, breaking their losing streak.
