The Buccaneers have signed former Hillsborough High School and USF LB Nigel Harris on Tuesday. Harris will join the Buccaneers practice squad after being hosted for workouts at the beginning of the week.

Harris was originally signed as an undrafted free agent by the Los Angeles Chargers on the first of May of 2017. He played in 5 games, recording 8 tackles. He was later waived by the Chargers in mid-October and quickly signed by the New York Giants.

He also played in 2 games for the Giants, recording 1 tackle.

During his 4 season with the USF Bulls, he played in 43 games, recording 231 tackles, 3 interceptions, 2 passes defended, 5 and a half sacks, 6 forced fumbles, and 3 fumble recoveries.

If the Tampa native is promoted to the active roster, he will have had the pleasure to be one of the only players to have played football for a Tampa high school, college, and professional team.
