So there are three games left to play before this nightmarish season is finally over. Up next is a Monday night rivalry matchup against the Atlanta Falcons (8-5). Even though a win would not help the Buccaneers, since this season is over for them anyway, a victory against Atlanta always feels good, especially since Tampa Bay can play spoiler by taking this game away from the Falcons. This will be a tough task, however, as Atlanta has been playing well all season. Matt Ryan will pick our secondary apart if we do not finally get any kind of pass rush going. With Gerald McCoy likely out, this will be even harder to do. Keeping Running Backs Devonta Freeman and Tevin Coleman in check will be key to having a chance this week.
On offense, Tampa Bay will have to play mistake-free. Winston can not afford to have any more turnovers and will have to score multiple Touchdowns in this contest. A successful running game would certainly help tremendously. Speaking of Tampa’s running game, it will be interesting to see how Koetter uses Martin after another disappointing performance against Detroit. Peyton Barber might get more touches than Martin this time. I am calling the Buccaneers to pull this one out and get an upset win at home with the whole nation watching. Winston will thrive under the national spotlight and pass for three Touchdowns. Final score: 24 – 21!
