Koetter Admits That Speculations About His Future Have Been A Disctraction

The Tampa Bay Buccaneers have not had a season that lived up to anyone’s expectations and that has led to speculations about Koetter’s future with the football team. Buccaneers head coach Dirk Koetter stated during a press conference on Tuesday that the rumors and speculations have become a serious distraction.

Koetter was asked if the speculations were a distraction and he replied, “Of course, I mean it’s your life. Of course it is, but we’re paid to do a job, and you try to do it to the best of your ability. That’s all you can do.”

Coach Koetter has three years left on his contract and he has stated that he has not had any discussions with the Glazer family in regards to his future with the team, but we all know how the Glazers are quick to pull the trigger on a coach.

Rumors of Jon Gruden’s possible return might have Koetter a little antsy as his seat continues to heat up and whether or not, Koetter is fired at the end of the season, it’s obvious that the rumors have bothered him. Losing focus on a game plan to worry about possible future employment is something the Bucs Brass cannot ignore.
