Buc’s linebackers Kwon Alexander and Lavonte David have been named as Pro Bowl alternates along with TE Cameron Brate. David is a second alternate, with Brate and Alexander being named 3rd. All three put up great numbers despite being on a team that went 5-11 this season. Once again, David had a solid season. He had 101 tackles on the season to go with five forced fumbles, despite missing three games due to an injury. Bucs fans have come to expect nothing less from David, as he has been a top OLB ever since his 2012 rookie season.

Kwon Alexander also missed time with an injury, but in just 12 games he registered 97 tackles to go with 2 interceptions. Since being drafted in the 4th round of the 2015 draft, the MLB with 4.5 speed has been a game changer. Where ever the football, is Alexander is close by.

The Bucs signed Cameron Brate as a free agent in 2014, and in 2016 he broke out, scoring 8 TDs tied for tops among TEs in the league. This year, Brate was once again a favorite red zone target, scoring 6 TDs. Even though Jameis Winston was out for several games due to a shoulder injury, Brate grabbed 48 passes for 591 yards. After the drafting of OJ Howard last year, the Bucs now have the top TE duo in the league.
