The Buccaneers Sign Ex-Gators Long Snapper.

The Bucs have announced their first move of 2018 by signing former Gators long snapper, Drew Ferris, to a futures contract.

Last season, Garrison Sanborn was the Buccaneers long snapper, but is set to become a free agent this March.

Ferris had been on both the Jets and the Seahawks rosters but never made it to either active rosters.

The young man was the long snapper for the Gators between 2011 and 2014 but missed the entire 2012 season with an injury.

Tampa signed 8 players from the squad to the futures contracts at the end of 2017, but Ferris is the first signing of 2018.

There will be more moves, but it’s more likely that those will happen in March when free agency begins.
