Early Sunday morning Colts linebacker Edwin Jackson was struck by an Indianapolis man who was driving down the side of Interstate 70. Indiana State Police believe that the driver, Alex Cabrera age 37, was intoxicated.

According to the report, Jackson and Jeffery Monroe were stopped on the side of Interstate 70 due to Jackson being sick. Monroe got out of the vehicle to tend to Jackson when Cabrera drove onto the emergency shoulder and hit the rear their vehicle and struck both Monroe and Jackson.

Cabrera tried to flee the scene on foot but was ultimately caught and arrested. The 37-year-old man from Indianapolis was driving without a license and believed to be intoxicated.
