CB Depth and Free Agency – Ian Mott

As another free agency approaches in the coming months, many positions are going to be going thorough reviews. One of the biggest question marks hanging over the Tampa Bay Buccaneers is how they’d like to upgrade their defensive backs.

Justin Evans was a delightful addition to a struggling secondary, and may have been their biggest improved position. With Hargreaves struggling here and there, and Grimes still unsure about his future, the Bucs need to be ready to capitalize on an improved pass rush with the hiring of Buckner from the Arizona Cardinals coaching staff. If he can motivate our defensive line the Bucs should really look at the free agents that are available and still have tread on the tires.

With the NFL combine approaching, I’d really like to see the Bucs take a look at Trumaine Johnson and Marcus Peters. What do you think? Who would you like to see the Bucs bring in to improve their secondary?
