Former Bucs WR Vincent Jackson hosts annual baby shower for military moms

Jackson and his ‘Jackson in Action 83’ foundation have hosted an annual baby shower for military moms since 2014.

Jackson, being a military kid himself, has used this as an opportunity to give back to the community. This year is no different, even though he has since retired from the NFL.

The event is scheduled to take place this weekend; according to Greg Auman via Twitter.

Great to see that former Bucs receiver @VincentTJackson is still hosting his “Military Moms Baby Shower” this weekend. Fifth annual event will help 40 recent or expecting moms in Tampa area.”  Auman wrote.

The event helps military moms, who are active military themselves, or an active military spouse, with things like diapers, car seat’s, and other baby care items. They also theme the events and provide refreshments to their guests. It is also an opportunity for moms to ‘meet one another and establish connections that provide support to them and their families moving forward’, the Action 83 site states.
