With the first regular season game quickly approaching, one thing fans can be excited for in the future, but maybe not so much tonight is the experience our newly acquired free agent veterans will bring to this younger roster.
Even with the experience that Gerald McCoy, Lavonte David, and Mike Evans bring to this team, as captains and major role players all familiar with the Pro Bowl, it doesn’t come close to what JPP, Vinny Curry, and Beau Allen bring to the table.
Playoff experience, let alone playoff wins or Super Bowl appearances are something this team is completely unfamiliar with. Beau Allen and Vinny Curry are both former Champions after winning last season with the Eagles. When listening to both of those guys explain that experience, one thing they both spoke about was how they knew they were going to the Super Bowl.
Obviously, every team tries to have that mentality, but with a new coach you can tell how each player believed in one another 100% and with that confidence they were able to focus on their responsibilities, every game, every play. JPP, also a Super Bowl champ, and 2 time Pro Bowler also brings a plethora of experience to this team. After dealing with early success alongside other greats and also with tragedy and personal challenges, his true strength and confidence in his self should be something his teammates recognize. Believe in yourself first and others will follow.
