The Detroit Lions signed Veteran DE and former Buccaneer, Robert Ayers, on Monday in an attempt to strengthen their defensive line. He had a lone practice on Monday but was not seen at practice on Tuesday. By Tuesday afternoon, a little over 24 hours later, they announced that he had been released.

There has not yet been any word on why he was released, which leaves everyone wondering what could have happened in that short span of time to warrant his release, especially after Head Coach, Matt Patricia, seemed excited about the new addition to their line-up on Tuesday morning.

So, it looks like Robert Ayers is once again a free agent.
