Dirk Koetter has not revealed who the starter will be going into week 4 and hopes that this will play out as an advantage against the Chicago Bears.

Bears HC Matt Nagy says it doesn’t necessarily give the Bucs an advantage and that Ryan Fitzpatrick is the likely candidate to receive the starting nod. Nagy feels confident that their defense will be prepared for whoever is at the helm.

The Bears’ defense is ranked 5th in the NFL in total defense, 11th in passing defense, 2nd in rushing defense, and 13th in receiving defense.

While the Buccaneers have a significantly better offense than the Bears, Chicago is ranked 12th in the NFL in rushing. They fall way behind the Buccaneers in the offensive ranking with a 26th total offense, 28th in passing offense, and 28th in receiving yards. However, the Buccaneers’ defense is nothing to brag about.

The Buccaneers rank dead last in the NFL in passing defense, tying with the Kansas City Chiefs, and are ranked 31st in total defense and receiving defense. The Buccaneers do have a third-ranked rushing defense and will need that to show up against the Bears 12th-ranked rushing attack.
