In an excerpt from today’s press conference DC Mike Smith addressed the issues on defense that came to a head after a week 4 matchup with Chicago. Many after which were calling for Mike Smith to be fired. Which as a result has surfaced the #FireMikeSmith hashtag ever since.
In tweet from Tampa Bay Times Rick Stroud he details Smith’s full quote saying,
“The sky is not falling. I can tell you it freaking felt like it was on top of us when we walked off the field in Chicago.”
You are right Smith, the sky is not falling right now. The defense has been falling and failing for some time now and will seemingly hit rock bottom soon. If it hasn’t already. Quotes like that sir will not make #FireMikeSmith hashtags go away anytime soon.
