Despite being suspended for the first three games of this season, Winston is among the NFL leaders in giving the ball away with 7 interceptions and 1 fumble lost (of 4 overall fumbles) in just 10 quarters of football. During preseason and during his suspension the news was all about how Jameis had improved his accuracy and improved chemistry with receivers not named (Humphries). So far that hasn’t been the case on the field.
Is it time to worry that this is the finished article as far as Winston is concerned? Has he gotten it as much as he is going to? Anyone can point out the difference between practice and live games, and so far Jameis is struggling with that accuracy when it matters. On the flip side it can be argued that Jameis is forcing the game too hard and trying to do too much. Many will point out that this extra effort is what is leading to his struggling.
