DeSean Jackson Trade To Eagles Surfacing

In a radio interview with 94WIP Marks & Reese Show, Jason La Canfora has speculated that the Philidalphia Eagles are “likely” to make some sort of trade before the league deadline. A name mentioned in those trade rumors is current Bucs WR DeSean Jackson, who was a former WR for the Eagles as well.

La Canfora is quoted saying, “Tampa is still kind of, sort of in it. I have not heard that they are pushing DeSean Jackson, but I don’t think he’s by any means untouchable either. He hasn’t clicked with Winston. Would I be shocked if DeSean Jackson is traded? No.”

This is definitely not the first time a Jackson and Eagles reunion has been rumored, but La Canfora’s comment, though not rock solid, does lend some credence that a trade like this could possibly happen. And standing back, it could make sense for Jackson and the team.

Jackson led the league as the top-rated wideout to start the season. His stats have suffered since Jameis Winston came back as the starting QB. In fact, he has collected only 102 yards and no receiving TD’s in that span.

It’s apparent that the chemistry between Jackson and Winston is simply not there. If it cannot be fixed and Tampa Bay can get a decent return in a trade, it may be worth entertaining the possibility.
