In the victory against the Saints last Sunday, rookie RB Ronald Jones scored his first TD. Jones scored from the 2-yard line in the 3rd quarter to extend the Bucs lead to 23-9. Overall Jones rushed 6 times for 13 yards and caught the only pass that was thrown his way for 15 yards.
So far Jones has had a very disappointing rookie season. He has been active for only 3 games with 17 carries for just 45 yards. The speedy 2nd-round pick out of USC should look to improve next game against the Bengals.
If Jones and fellow RB Peyton Barber can’t provide a spark to the Buccaneers running game soon, it could be a very long season.
