It is a very sad Monday for Bucs nation. Not only did the Bucs lose another very close game that was decided by a long field goal with time running out, but franchise quarterback Jameis Winston had a completely nightmarish game. It was by far the worst performance of his career.

Winston threw four picks. The worst part about it is that they were all clearly on him. He simply made terrible decisions on each of the interceptions and threw it right in the hands of the defenders. Throwing four interceptions in less than three quarters is simply unacceptable, which is why Koetter replaced him with Fitzpatrick in the third quarter after throwing for 276 yards, 18 competions on 35 attempts and a long touchdown to DeSean Jackson, the connection we have been waiting for for so long was finally there… Yet, maybe it was too late.

Ryan Fitzpatrick took over and turned into Fitzmagic, once again, playing flawless football, throwing for almost 200 yards and two scores, one long touchdown to Mike Evans and another one to OJ Howard on 4th down that lead to the game-tying two-point conversion.

However, unfortunately, the Bengals received the ball with just over a minute left to play in the game, which was enough for them to get within field goal range and the Bucs lost as the Bengals successfully kicked the field goal with time running out.

The Bucs defense could not hold the Bengals on the last drive. Other than that, they played a solid second half after getting run over by Joe Mixon in the first. Mixon averaged 5.9 yards on 21 carries and had two scores. The Bucs had two sacks, both were made by Pierre-Paul. Once againt, they failed to create a turnover, which might have been the decisive factor to win the game. However, this game was not lost by the defense, by no means. It was lost by Winston’s four interceptions.

So this tough loss puts the Bucs record at 3-4. It feels a lot worse than this, however. Catanzaro missed an extra point, again. Rumors are swirling about DeSean Jackson wanted to get traded. And Winston had the worst performance of his career. The promising young quarterback has turned into a turnover machine.

The combination of all this makes Bucs fans wonder whether this will cause a major housecleaning in Tampa. Maybe not yet… The season is not lost yet. Next up is a highly important divisional matchup and a must-win game against the Carolina Panthers. Winston can redeem himself with a win and a solid performance next Sunday… if he gets to play, that is.
