Can Fitzpatrick Keep The Magic Flowing?

Ryan Fitzmagic has been given the nod to start in Carolina this Sunday, but can he keep the magic flowing?

Ryan Fitzpatrick played for the first time since the first half of week 4, and he still sits in the top 10 in many passing categories. He is atop the league in passing yards per attempt with 10.9, he is 8th in completion percentage at 68.1, he is tied at 3rd for the longest pass at 75 yards, he is 6th in the NFL in yards per game with 310, and he leads the NFL in passing rating with 119.

Many NFL experts believe that Ryan Fitzpatrick gives the Tampa Bay Buccaneers the best chance to make it to the playoffs this year and as a result, giving GM Jason Licht the best chance of retaining his job.

Historically, when Fitzpatrick starts over 12 games, he does put up solid numbers, but gets infected by the turnover bug, rather frequently. However, there is an exception to that as in 2015 he played outstanding football, his first season with the New York Jets. Fitzpatrick led the Jets to a 10-6 season and barely missed qualifying for the playoffs. That Season Fitz was lights out, for the most part, throwing for 3905 yards, 31 TDs, and 15 INTs. right now Fitzpatrick in 3.75 games has thrown for 1550 yards, 13 TDs, and 5 INTSs, pointing to the idea that Fitzpatrick may once again have his magic hat on and it’s fully charged.

History often repeats itself and Fitzpatrick has started out slinging the football well, So, I will not get my hope too high, but it does seem that the Fitzmagic bus is heading in the right direction. As what said by many NFL experts, with Winston second banana due to terrible play last week, Fitzpatrick’s experience and better judgment put Tampa in the best situation to succeed, so I’m getting my ticket to ride the Ftizmagic bus
