Ferg’s Sports Bar & Grill

We recently announced Bucs Reports’ new partnership with Ferg’s Sports Bar and Grill and our upcoming LIVE show event on November 10 with Peter Blake and The Sports Web at 12 pm at their St. Petersburg location. Bucs Report will be in attendance, and the Buccaholics will be there as well. So if you live in or around the Bay Area, come out and join us.

With all of the excitement building around this event, I want to give you a little background on Ferg’s, which was named one of the top 101 Sports Bars in the country by CNN and was also named Best Hangout in Tampa Bay.

Ferg’s was founded in 1992 by Mark Ferguson, a former Pinellas County Schools teacher and FSU graduate. The first Ferg’s location was purchased in 1991 as a Sunoco Gas station in hopes of turning it into a popular sport’s bar.  They started out sponsoring local sports leagues, and after Tropicana Field (formerly Suncoast Dome) was built and brought in the Tampa Bay Lightning Hockey Team, the Tampa Bay storm arena football team, and the Tampa Bay Devil Rays, Ferg’s quickly became a hot spot for players and fans alike.

Built with repurposed materials from local schools, the Children’s Hospital and the Derby Lane Dog Track, Ferg’s St. Petersburg location has become a staple in the area and now spans about 2 city blocks. It has over 90 TVs, offers indoor or outdoor dining, and even has its own tunnel that leads directly to Tropicana Field.  It also has 11 different areas for patrons to host parties or events. They have a huge patio and backyard that can accommodate concerts and other large events.

We hope you can join us on November 10 for some Bucs talk, raffles, fun and awesome food/drinks.
