The Tampa Bay Buccaneers have waived defensive end, Demone Harris, and promoted rookie safety Godwin Igwebuike to their active roster, on Friday.

Godwin Igwebuike, who is related to former Bucs kicker Donald Igwebuke, signed with Tampa as an undrafted free agent earlier this offseason.

Igwebuike will add depth to a secondary that is going to be without Justin Evans on Sunday.

Defensive end, Demone Harris, also signed with Tampa as an undrafted free agent earlier this offseason. He signed a three-year $1.71 million contract with the team, but was waived shortly after the end of the preseason.

Harris did return to the Buccaneers practice squad where he remained until being promoted a few weeks ago. Playing in two games, Harris has not recorded any statistics.
