Adam Humphries Makes Case To Stay in Tampa Beyond This Season

Adam Humphries, who is set to enter free agency at the end of the season, has been making a case for himself to remain in Tampa in 2019. While we didn’t see much of him at the beginning of the season, the ongoing connection issues with DeSean Jackson as well as O.J. Howard being out due to a season-ending foot and ankle injury opened up the window for more field time for Humphries. He has quickly become a favorite target.

During Sunday’s game against the 49ers alone, Humphries caught six passes for 50 yards and scored a touchdown, bringing his season total touchdowns to 4, all of which were scored in the last four games. He’s currently ranked third on the team for yards and second in receptions.

Time will tell if he will have a contract waiting for him at the end of the season. I personally think he should.
